Boredom's doldrum

“Nothing’s happening dude, the same routine life”. This is a common sentence oft heard when confronted with the question ”Hey Was sup?”
Boredom’s doldrums are one of lives most unavoidable hurdle. For instance pangs of irritation at the start of a long journey, a heavy traffic jam and you are unnerved by being stuck in the crowd for hours, long vacations and there is practically nothing to entertain your soul, sick and tired of your daily chores and so much occupied with day to day responsibilities that life’s charm seem to escape in to thin air.

“How dull it is to pause, to make an end, to rust unburnished” was the line which struck my attention while I was reading an article which dealt with life is to strive , to seek and find .But Hello! Lets be practical life is not just about hard core ideologies.

Boredom is a very required pause, a lull, a state of slowing down, a speed breaker in our fast paced lives. It is that restlessness which infuses a spirit to rethink , to overhaul your routine life. It gives you the impetus to know yourself further and compels you to something new. It’s surprising that this dullness leads to a life of action. Sometimes even if you’ve done something many time you enjoy it doing again because at the corner of your heart you know, ”this is it, if you are not enjoying all your efforts will be futile”.

Sometimes as an outcome of boredom you unravel your latent passions which were subdued because of your preoccupied life. You create a hobby or develop interests. You might even go for a complete makeover and revamp you dressing and be surprised with the compliments pouring.

Boredom is that state of nothingness or stagnation which has inherent seeds of discovery . A time to ponder “Hey do I need some change in here? ”
Anyone complaining of being bored. :-) :-)

hmm...boredom's a blessing in disguise....the idea however is that it should taper into productive action....but that depends totally on the individuals will, doesn't it?[:)]....
