Kartik amaavasya’s dark still night and an eerie pitched in silence, waiting for the dawn to come & then thousands of kindled hearts unanimously light up diyas to banish all the darkness & sorrow.
Yes, this is the essence of deepawali, that is to lead from darkness to light, to celebrate the fact that goodness presides over evil.
This year too diwali was celebrated with its full grandeur but I feel somewhere it was just a satire as the light merely seem to camouflage the dark present scenario.
Truly, this year has been one eventful year with the sensex tumbling down, the entire country rocked by serial blasts and diwali time being the climax.
Under a thin veneer of light of this festivity, we were exposed to the gruesome degradation of human values.
The Maharashtra episode of death of two north Indians questions the very integrity of our country, the serial blasts in Assam where hundreds of innocent lives were devastated and the unveiling of Sadhvi Pragya being the mastermind of Malegaon blast puts a question mark on humanity which is at its ebb.
It is for all of us to realize that let not any festival be a mere ritual, a mechanical routine wherein you are celebrating just for the hec of it.
We have to realize that there is no north Indian or Marathi, there is no Muslim terrorism or Hindu terrorism, there is no caste or creed it’s the thinking that makes the difference.
So as sensible individuals its mandatory to realize that this thought process which categorizes you on the basis of region, religion , wealth is wrong. T
Thus this diwali I would like to give the message-
“ aakrosh me mat aa jao tum itna
ki insaaniyat ka dum nikal jae
nafrat ko dur karo tum itna
ki fir se hum ek ho jae”
(don’t have anger to that degree that humanity loses its essence and banish all enmity so that once again we become one).

Inheritance of Loss
“ but what am I
An infant crying in the night
An infant crying for the light
And with no language but a cry”
Perhaps these few lines very well encapsulates the plight of millions of orphans in the world. In an age where good parenting is not just about nurturing your child with care and affection rather suffice the new age demands right from best of education ,exclusive clothing, art classes, music classes ,cell phones, ipods and list would never seem to end ; I witnessed another world, the world of orphans.
On the occasion of rakshabandhan I had the opportunity to visit an orphanage. Little toddlers who couldn’t even speak their name were left all alone in the hostile world. I was astounded to see the performance of some kids who danced like professionals without any training or exposure. Half the day they would do carpentry or stitching and the other half they would study. To think of it , adversity had taught them so much ,to work for their survival, to take on the responsibility of their life at a tender age .All of them had big dreams to become doctors, pilots ,actors and you know the crude reality that barely anyone will be able to realize their dreams because of lack of proper education.
These children were still better off than those abandoned on the streets, railway stations, dustbins exposed to brutalities that is even hard to imagine.
But why?
Why is there such a startling difference in this world?
I am but a small voice
I have but a small dream
But oh the tears in my eyes
My visions blur
I am an orphan
My dreams shattered.
Perhaps its high time for all of us to realize that for every time we shouted at our parents, there was a child wanting to be loved. for every time we showed our tantrums , there was a child wanting to be hugged. For every time we demanded for more , there was a child all alone
“full many a gem of purest ray serene
the dark unfathomed caves of ocean bear
Full many a flower is born to blush unseen
And waste its sweetness on desert air.”
Its sheer destiny that there are millions who have this inheritance of loss and its sheer irony that there are many who have got everything in this world but never had the perseverance nor the dedication to do something worthwhile in life..

With u,For u............not always
How curt is that ....."with u, for u...........not always".well however it may sound ,if we shread all brinks of fabrication one can blatantly opine that this oneliner is the mantra of todays GENZ.
Stability, permanency is completely out of the crop.Change is the buzzword for the genz soul.
Be it anything relationships, marraige, your job, your career option ,your very look...no one will justify oneself on the altars of commitment.
We flex ourselves to get better growthopportunitied,so we change jobs, change cities.
We easily get bored so we change our look, revamp our house & facelift our lifestyles...
We dont want to be outdated so we keep on changing our gagets N gizmos.
And relationships....It begins with friendship...then the girlfriend boyfriend stuf....then once done away with the dating & whatever.......it becomes more than enough.....the relationship starts rottening.....And then theres "the BrEAKup"......n this is not all......then comes "we are now good friends"..............when you are tried ,tested & then dumped.....
So when an HR interviewer asks about how long will u serve the respective company n u come up with the most impressive answe.....when a girl blushes away to glory when the boy says "i'll be there for u always...."..n zillions of other such times its complete FAKEONOMICS personified to its core.
In todays world it would be a blessing in disguise if it becomes true in the very real sense ....
"with u, for u..............ALWAYS"

But pappu cant dance sala!!!!!!!
Big deal!He's muscular,popular ,spectacular looks like a firang ,girls hearthrobe,he's richie rich,he's done mba....could u ask 4 anything more??????????
This very popular song which is rocking the chartbusters is driving me nuts....cmon afterall a multitasker , excels in almost anything & everything .....could there be anything left...hmmmmmmmmm.........DANCE??
To think of it ,we dwell in the age of parties. Its like "work hard But party harder" kind of attitude that is synonymous to todays youth....& when it comes to parties.....mind you, dance is inevitably its heart & soul.....So if cant dance .....quite a turnoff....
No its not that we are hankering for so called clones of hritik...Its neither that one is looking into the details of multivarious forms of dance....jazz...hiphop..salsa ...whatever.....
Its just that one should be able to translate ones happiness ,expressions in the form of dance.
So with ample verification teemed with expermentation& after the juxtaposition of varied thought process....i come out with this explanation..........
Where the mind is without fear
and spirits are held high
where entertainment is top gear
could u ever ask why...
To make the right move n feel the groove
nothing is satisfying unless u prove
that u can dance
And u'll stand a good chance
To be a hearthrobe of party dwellers............
So as Saroj Khan says...."khush rehuye, nachte rehiye....":-)

Howzzat!!!!!!!
Cricket, cricket, cricket.....one word that runs in the veins of the Indians as blood.Cricket
though was a leisure game invented in the very soil of Britain but when transfered to India , it was not just a game but a religion.
And nothing on earth could have been more satisfyingthan to see the Indian team win its very first world cup on the grounds of Britain. It was just yesterday, after two & a half decades that the Kings of the Lords were being honoured on the occassion of its 25th anniversary. The same miraculous team on the nostalgic moment stood bold and tall & were definitely a class apart.
Not just because they brought laurels to the country by winning the world cup,Not just because they were very skilled but also because even after twenty five years no one was able to recreate history.
But Indians this year did win some world cup....a completely revamped world cup ie t20.
Cricket has metamorphised in a great way.Its not just a game but CRICKETAINMENT so to say.Now a bowler balls not for 10 but for 4 overs.Batting is not about strokes & delivery rather its about the speed with which runs are made.
We all had been viewing Manchester United, Real Madrid & many other such soccer clubs & with somewhat the same DNA , IPL was born.It has almost every ingredient to suffice the Indian appetite. It doesnt matter to which country you belong, all that matters is cricket.
All that matters is speed & power & if this isnt spicy enough theres Bollywood calling to cater to the needs of glamour. To add tadka to this very hot avtaar we have the cheerleaders.
To put it a nutshell this is what i call complete entertainment.
The best part of it is that you dont have to wait for those long 50 overs.....Howzzat!!!!!!!!!!

SARKAR RAJ........
No its not at all a film review that i am about to post.....there are film critics to cater to the purpose & at the end of of the day its not my cup of tea......I am again going to where the philosophical cap & talk about the rule of dynasties which have dominated the Indians in all sphere's .......business,politics,bollywood.......the list seems endless...................
The Gandhi's ,The Scindhia's, The Tatas, The Ambani's, The Kapoors,The Bachchans.........everywhere the clan name makes the difference. It is these power inheritors who dominate & a normal man becomes a pawn under the shadow of these attention seekers.
Is it really in their blood to continue with the granduer of their forefathers?
If we banish our myopic thought process & try to understand things from a broader perspective we realise that coming from an influential backgroound is no big joke. One's action stand testimony to the great standards which have already been set. There's immense pressure on the novice to live up to the expectations of the market forces.Any underperformance would lead to his fall. Nevertheless one cannot undermine the fact that these legacy inheritors have nothing much to do but to continue their work & maintain their standards.
However ones vision is coloured by the colour of spectacle one wears.to enter into the hall of fame it is imperative that procrastination be dropped & quality work be the only underlining factor.
Individuals can ,if they are determined ,make their voices heard.Power does not necessarily comes through the barrel of a gun or through your family name ,it comes through who u are from within.
Arise ,Awaken & if u have got the passion to make it big .......u are the next superhero in the making..............
